April 16th  SMCC Rummage clean up, Service Project 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
    Opportunity for service hours on Saturday,  We clean up after the church's Rummage Sale.  This is an official troop event.  The clean up usually takes about two hours.  Please meet at Pritchard Hall to help.  The church lets the Troop use the buildings every week, and this is our way to say "thank you very much."

April  29 to May 1 Camporee - Firestone Boy Scout Camp. Meet at SMCC South Parking lot Friday at 4:00pm. Directions to Firestone Boy Scout Camp: MapMapquest  2 night 2 miles.
 57 Frwy South off Brea Canyon Rd, then Left on Tonner Canyon Rd. After four miles onTonner Canyon Rd you will pass the main entrance to the camp. (Sign Points to Scout Camp) Follow the road all the way to the Camp (about 1 more mile).  Flyer with more info

Holcomb Valley BSA Summer Camp July 24-30, 2005, 6 nights 2 mile hike 1 hour Service
Holcomb Valley Scout Ranch is near Big Bear.  Link. History and  Camp's Flyer.  Highly trained and energetic BSA staff are getting ready for the 2005 Summer BSA Camp. Please Contact me if you would like to join us for “The Ultimate Adventure in Scouting” at Holcomb Valley Scout Ranch.   Scouts will have opportunities to work on Merit Badges and a host of other optional activities -- see flyer (boating, swimming, ranges, horses, ranching and more) Includes tents and 17 great meals.  We depart SMCC Sunday July 24 at 1:30pm and return home July 30, Sat. around 2:30pm. Cost:  $250.00 per Scout if paid in full by May 31,  or $285.00 with Deposit of $50.00 now and the balance due by June 11, 2005.  Checks are to  Old Baldly Council, I will pick them up to send out ASAP. $50.00 is non-refundable. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Cost for the week is $110.00 per Adult if paid in full by May 31  or $135.00 with Deposit now and the balance due by June 11, 2005. August 7 to 13 Yosemite.  The Troop will have a week long base camp and offer a backpacking trip from the base camp. Troop 373 is leading this week long summer camp to trip to Yosemite. $50.00 Deposit to attend. Parents welcomed to attend. 6 nights, base camp hike 2 miles.     Back pack: 7 nights  30 miles.

Sept. 13 Troop Meeting starts Again.

Sept. 23-25  Barton Flats in the San Bernardino Mountains, about two hours east of here. 1 night.  We need to know who is coming no later than this Tuesday, Sept. 20.  We need  drivers both ways.  The patrols will be planning their own menus and buying their own food, so costs will vary. DIRECTIONS: In Big Bear City, CA, at the intersection of Greenspot Rd. and Big Bear Blvd., take Greenspot Rd. (State Rt. 38) south 20.6 miles to campground sign.  Turn right at sign into campground. Camp is among Ponderosa and Jeffrey pine and Incense cedars.The elevation is 6,500 ft. L c b

Oct.  8 and 9 City of Hope - 8th is setup and the 9th is the walk. Helpers needed.
