~~Trail to the top of Mount Baden Powell. The hike is 4 miles each way.~~

Oct. 6 SMCC Rummage clean up, Service Project 12:00pm to 2:00pm.
Opportunity for service hours on Saturday, We clean up after the church's Rummage Sale. This is an official troop event. The clean up usually takes about two hours. Please meet at Pritchard Hall to help. The church lets the Troop use the buildings every week, and this is our way to say "thank you very much." Next

Nov. 4, Sun. 20 Mile Hike for Hiking MB, must RSVP and be approved in advance. Completed 23 miles on the Silver Moccasin Trail to Chantry Flats.

Nov. 10 Sat. Troop Hike, 10 mile hike to Mt Baden Powell. Meet: 8:00 am Pritchard Hall
Return: 4:00 pm Please RSVP. Bring: Day pack, sack lunch, water bottle, 10 essentials.

Nov. 23-25 Desert Caravan, Troop Joins OA lead car camp. Sign up with Troop. To Rainbow Basin Natural Area, Owl Canyon Camp Ground. Link 1- Link 2 Meet at SMCC at 12:30pm Friday to carpool to the camp. We will return on Sunday at noon. Cost: TBA ($10.00 plus food cost) Temp-highs and lows Map

Directions to Owl Canyon Campground: Take I-15 North to Barstow. Take L Street exit and turn left on L Street. Turn right on West Main Street. Turn Left on N First Avenue. Turn left on Irwin Road (turn off is just past a hill with a water tank on it - it's easy to miss). Proceed out of town on Irwin Road until you see the sign for Rainbow Basin (about 7 miles). From Irwin Road, turn left on Fossil Bed Road and follow signs to Owl Canyon Campground. See map link.

When: Starts 11 am on Dec. 27 and ends Dec 29 10 pm. Cost: $95.00 includes meals
What: Archery, Star gazing, and all the other fun stuff we do at camp, Plus work on two Merit Badges.

March 7, Friday. SGVC Dinner, Martin receives Silver Beaver Award. La Salle High. Flyer at Scout Shop .

March 8 Sat. Troop Hike, Ten Mile Hike to Mount Bliss, Meet 8 am at Mel canyon Road and Brookridge in Duarte. Back at 4pm at the same spot. No Forest Adventure Pass is needed since this hike begins outside the forest boundary. Flyerhike page link map link

March 9, Sunday 1st Year Scout Tenderfoot day camp for Alligator Patrol. 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Bailey Canyon (in place of the hike on the 8 th). Flyer

April 11, Friday night. 1st Year Scout camp to get Tenderfoot for Alligator Patrol. 1 night, Needed for Tenderfoot rank in Monrovia Canyon Park. Scout will set up camp and cook dinner and breakfast. 1 night
