Hunkpapa Chapter OA Meeting Information: Meets the First Wednesday of each month at 7:30 PM.

Qualifications for Scouts:
• Be at least a First Class Scout at time of attendance at Jamboree
• Have completed sixth grade or be at least 12 years of age by July 1, 2010, and have not reached his
18th birthday by August 2, 2010.
• Participate in pre jamboree training experience.
• Submit a Jamboree Medical Form
• Be approved by his Scoutmaster and the local council jamboree committee
 
2011
The 22nd World Scout Jamboree is in in Kristianstad, Sweden, It  will take place from 27 July 2011 to 7 August 2011.  July 25 2011 is the arrival day.

          o The 22nd World Scout Jamboree will take place from 27 July 7 August 2011 in Kristianstad, Sweden with around 40,000 Scouts expected to attend from around the world.
          o  Theme is "Simply Scouting".
          o The Jamboree campsite will be in Rinkaby, outside the town of Kristianstad in the very south of Sweden.

The World Scout Jamboree is the largest regular event organised by the Scout Movement.  It takes place every four years in a different country.

2012
NOAC 2012 is to be held at Michigan State University. The OA's 100th anniversary! 2012 National Order of the Arrow Conference is sue to be a hit. Stay tuned in for updates. Set end of July beginning of Aug. again.
      The Order of the Arrow (OA) was founded by Dr. E. Urner Goodman and Carroll A. Edson in 1915 at the Treasure Island Camp of the Philadelphia Council, Boy Scouts of America.  It became an Official program experiment in 1922 and was approved as part of the Scouting program in 1934.  In 1948, the OA was recognized as the BSA's national brotherhood of honor campers and became an Official part of the national camping program of the Boy Scouts of America.  Now the OA is recognized as Scouting's national honor society.

Aug. 1, to Aug. 6 2009 NOAC 2009 will be at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

We will be leaving on  July 31 and get back around the first week of August (6 or 7).
In 2009 there will be over 8,000 Arrowmen from all across the nation!! National Order of the Arrow Conference.
There will be dodge ball, capture the flag, and many more games to play. If you don't like cooking, this is the trip for you. You don't have to cook, it is done for you. You don't like tents, no problem. We stay in dorms on the campus. NOAC 2006 cost was about $.... If you think that it might cost too much, bring your friends. The more people we have go, the cheaper it will be. If you start paying now, you won't have to pay huge amounts before we leave. The biggest amount you have to pay at one time is the $100 down payment, as long as you don't wait until the last minute.

Sept. 21 Lucky Baldwin Service project at The Arboretum for Taste of Arcadia. From 6 PM to 8 PM. OA will be greeting, managing lines, and maybe selling raffle tickets. No clean-up, no food service.

 Directions From Orange County:
Take the Riverside (91) Freeway to Corona.  Take Interstate 15 South through Temecula to exit at Temecula Parkway/Highway 79 South LEFT (take exit for Pechanga).  Continue south on Highway 79 through Temecula for approximately 30 miles (you will pass Vail Lake, Oak Grove and little spots like the Stage Coach Inn).
LEFT on Chihuahua Valley Road drive approximately 6.5 miles to the dirt road entrance which will be straight ahead as the road makes a sharp right.  A Lost Valley sign is at the right of the dirt road.  Schoepe Scout Reservation awaits you at the end of an 10-mile scenic journey along this road.   The road speed limit of 15 mph is Strictly Enforced!  However, please be courteous and pull over for those who may know the road and wish to safely travel faster than you.
