Each unit has a large kitchen open to the living room with
a large counter which makes a good place for kids to eat or people to relax and visit with the "workers" in the
kitchen. Either side can easily and comfortably seat 12 people whether inside or outside. Both kitchens
are modern, fully stocked with everything you could need for cooking and entertaining and with updated dishwashers and
all the other appliances you might need. Plenty of counter space and room for everyone to help in the kitchen
if desired. Each side of the house has its own washer and drier as well.
Originally the house was rented as two separate 3 bedroom units
by closing doors in the middle of the house. When rented as one large house as it is now, it has the unique advantages
of accomodating groups of families or friends all together and yet with the space and privacy to be apart if desired.
Maybe the younger set will want to play games or watch videos in Sunrise while the adults visit or read or listen
to music in Sunset. Maybe one group of friends will want to relax and cook a separate dinner in Sunrise while another
family does their own thing one evening in Sunset and all get together by walking down the hall later on. Because there
are two separate living rooms/kitchens/decks/dining areas the house affords the unique possibility of togetherness AND privacy
at the same time.
The master suites in both Sunset and Sunrise are spacious with
a queen size bed, sitting area, separate closets and bureaus and a full jupdated bathroom with tub/shower. Each of the
other four bedrooms are spacious and have two twin beds each. Period panelling on the walls, brightly painted
floors thoughout the house, decoration and interesting artwork everywhere create atmosphere unique to each room. You
may end up squabbling over who gets the Japanese lantern bedroom versus the blue room etc. The newly renovated large
bathrooms for these bedrooms have large showers, tiled floors and walls, large mirrors, modern lighting and features.
All the comforts you need are here. Beds are new.
Furniture is comfortable. Sunset has two lazyboys. Sunrise has ligne rosset and rattan furniture and
a specially painted dining room table. Each unit has a tv and stereo with cd player. Sunset has a vcr and a dvd
player; Sunrise has a vcr. Each has its own unique decoration and feel. Each has a charcoal grill and plenty
of comfortable outdoor furniture for dining, sitting and lounging. I think you'll be hard pressed to pick one side over
the other.
