As if in reply to Music Director Kirk Biglione's plea for concerts, they've been popping up everywhere . . . Personality Crisis & Capitol Punishment & some great thrashing at the Wild Blue on Aug 16 with another Hardcore night with Naked Lady Wrestlers coming up Wed. Aug. 31 at the Blue . . . Eddie and the Tide for KFSR Aug. 19 at the Star Palace . . . The Animals at Selland Cavern Monday Aug. 29 - highly recommended if you've neer seen Eric Burdon in action . . . Some unknown punk-reggae group called The Police (who?) at Ratcliffe Sep. 3; no wait, it's not happening at all: sure it is, and look at all of the interest we've generated. Stop the presses! It's not Sep. 3, it's Sunday Sep. 11!! Are you sure? Has anybody been sure about this bleeding Police concert at all? NO. Opening for The Police are those liars Thompson Twins and the Ratcliffe Stadium House Band-known to you and some of me as The Fixx. There is supposed to be another band but nobody who it is and at this point does anybody care? . . . Everybody cares about Translator. They will be back in Fresno on Friday Sep. 16 at the Hacienda. Tickets will be only $5.00 and listen to KFSR on how and where they can be purchased. We will be having a ticket getaway, too. Translator - the only concert that really matters.

BOYS AND GIRLS OF CSUF,
Classtime is quickly approaching and with the scramble for classes, you may also notice a slight mix-up in part of the programming. Under new Heavies, the KFSR staff is working up some new ideas in sports, public affairs and news . . . oh, yeah, don't forget about the music. A new addition to the "Mighty 90.7" is S.O.S. (Soul on Sunday). S.O.S. will send out a call of the latest Soul, Dance, and Funk music. It will also explore the Soul of days gone by. You can pick up the S.O.S. signal every Sunday from 11am to 2pm. From all of us at KFSR, welcome back into listening range of STUDENT RUN RADIO FOR CSUF---90.7FM K-F-S-R.
Later,
Gilbert Mosqueda
Station Manager
P.S. We're still having signal problems in certain parts of the city, but hang with us people . . . it can only get better. Can't it? A WORD FROM OUR PUBLIC AFFAIRS CHIEF
Ok Ok . . . admit it . . . you're one of those people in Radioland who switches the dial every time you hear over two minutes of talking. Well, when you're listening to KFSR - wait three minutes. You might find something that interests you
Are you upset over college fee increases?
KFSR's Public Affairs covered that this summer, along with shows on Fresno's Rape Counseling Center, Fresno's NOW chapter and various organizations at FSU.
Sure, I love Youth Brigade too, but are they going to let you know what's happening at Fresno State this semester? KFSR's public affairs will.
Listen every Saturday at 10:30am and on Sundays at 10:00am . . . and give it a few minutes . . . you might find it hard to switch the dial.
