Join KFSR's Jazz Jocks 6 mornings a week, every week. Check it out on KFSR . . . J-A-Z-Z.
AN ACTUAL LETTERDear Diary,
Today, I unwittingly stumbled across a blue leaflet which had my name within its title. As I read on I came to realize, once again, that my old cronies at KFSR never cease to amaze me. It is with great appreciation (not to mention a bit of nausea) that I find the KFSR newsletter comes into existence deadicated to me. I'm even semi-speechless, so to speak. So as I wipe a somber tear from my eye with an old record sleeve I just happened to have around, I say thanks for the immortalization. And remember, I'm always up in the high country listening to my favorite Progressive Alternative -- Keep up the good noise!!
Thanks again, and have
a gracious good evening
--"Dead Air Dave"
You've probably been wondering lately -- I wonder if KFSR would dare to put out another DEAD AIR DIARY! after releasing the first one just two weeks earlier. Well . . . thanks to our listeners and the good people of Fresno's business community (Tower Records, Record Factory, Wild Blue Yonder, Penny Candy, just to name more than three), the lst DAD was a great success. We hope to expand to perhaps, gasp, another page in the near future. FRESNO BEE WATCH OUT!! If you missed our first DAD on its blistering blue paper, we still have a few at the station. If you want one, give us a call -- you know the number, and while we are onthe issue: can anyone think of a good way to spell 294-4082?? (The best I can do is BY-HI-O-UB!)
Best Wishes,P.S. Don't you hate unnnecessary P.S.'s?
HEY PUNK ROCKERS!!Hardcore gigs! At The Wild Blue!
From Canada, the same country that gave us D.O.A., Personality Crisis Tuesday Aug. 16. Also, the same night, some local Hardcore rockers will be thrashing their guitars. Capitol Punishment, Thorazine and the Celibate Nymphos, among others. There will be another Hardcore Punk night at the Blue on Wed. August 31. Watch for flyers and watch this space for details. The DEAD AIR DIARY applauds the Wild Blue for opening its doors to Fresno's Hardcore scene.
