among Captain John Cochran's militia company # XXI which included 103
men among whom were also John Abercrombie, James Abercrombie, Esq.,
Jonathan Abercrombie, Hastings Dial, Isaac Dial, Archabald McDanold
[McDaniel], Sr., Archabald McDanold, Jr., and William McDanold.
By 1840 William Abercrombie was in Fayette County,
Georgia and appears there in the 1850 census, which shows that he was
85 years old [born in 1765] and was born in South Carolina.
