Are BAHHA coaches certified?

Yes.  All of our coaches are trained, background screened, and certified by USA Hockey.  Each year coaching certification classes are held for the various levels.  There are different USA Hockey certification levels required for each division.  To qualify as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach on an approved roster, the following USA Hockey Coaching Education Program (CEP) qualification levels must be obtained by November 1 for Bantam and Midget, and December 31 of the current playing season for Mite through Peewee Teams

How do I get involved in coaching?

Prior to tryouts/evaluations, BAHHA begins to put their coaching staff together.  If you are not currently certified, information will be available regarding classes for certifying.  An application can be found at the Coaching Forms link under Coaches.  For additional questions, contact the Coach in Chief, any Board Member or any Coach.

How do you choose your coaches?

Most of the BAHHA coaches are parents who volunteer countless hours to their team to benefit our kids.  BAHHA reviews the performance of our coaches annually, and weighs the input of our parent-members in that evaluation.  The Board of Directors, through the Coach In Chief, reviews and approves of all coach appointments.
