2001 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition

The 2001 Jetta is a continual source of fun, both as a daily driver, and for excursions on our local canyon highways.  Powered by a 1.8 Liter Turbo four cylinder engine, and sitting on wide, grippy tires, the Jetta always is a pleasure to drive.  It cruises quietly and smoothly, but given the chance will tackle any bend in the road with great verve. 

Like so many cars, the Jetta follows the same track, back and forth, to work each day.  However, when vacation time comes, the Jetta has served as the car of choice several times, with extended trips through much of the American west to its credit.  A recent trip on two-lane roads from south to north through the center of Nevada was a chance for the Jetta to truly shine.  On the long and straight sections, the Jetta provided solid, comfortable travel, but through the mountains in northern Nevada, we found the manual shift and firm suspension added just the right amount of driving pleasure to make that portion of the route truly memorable.
