Walk is bright this morning
in the wake of an absent
orange-eater who has scattered
sunspecks across gray stones
among nicotine yellow
cigarette butts, leaves
brown yellow red green,
scraps of slick astrobrite
brochures, a break in the clouds,
and a pink flurry of bougainvillea
petals left by early morning rain.
