Custom Printing Co. Hollywood, FL - A full service commercial printing company which I started in 1980 and sold in 1995.
Responsibilities and capabilities:
I have a thorough working knowledge of the entire graphic arts industry. I hired, supervised and delegated responsibility to nine to twelve employees with a very good overall retention rate. My sales abilities allowed me to build a 1MM+ sales following of small, large and fortune 500 company’s. I am trusted and respected for my abilities to complete a customers project on time. I have the ability to accurately estimate the time most projects will take in any department, with over 15 years of estimating experience I have a good understanding of production cost and what the market will bear for most projects. My prepress abilities are state of the art, utilizing Macintosh electronic design stations with QuarkXpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Omni Page, Digital Photography & Photo CD software I have supervised and created full color product catalog sheets, brochures, newsletters and many others. Most recently I have installed an ISDN system and I am mastering web server technology and web page creation, using Adobe Pagemill and Symantecs Virtual Page. I am also familiar with the Windows 3.1.1 operating system. I have a complete understanding of business bookkeeping, Profit margins, cash flow, depreciation, payroll and taxes. I am and have used Quicken, Quick Books and My Invoices. I also created custom software, it creates job tickets, track projects, makes delivery receipts, invoices and has a search engine to locate the project years later all from one data entry session.

2. Florida No Fault Insurance Co., Hollywood, FL. - An in house print shop producing all of the necessary forms, rate books and advertising materials for there insurance co. (1979-1980)

3. Graphic Press, Hollywood, FL. - A large multi-color print shop specializing in full color magazine printing, (1977-1979)

Responsible for:
• The operation and maintenance of 36” single and two color offset printing presses.
• Assisted in the bindery dept.. running cutters, folders and a six pocket Macey stitcher/trimmer.
• Assisted in prepress making separations on a Hell scanner, shooting film, film assembly and platemaking.

4. US Navy, Norfolk, VA (1975-1977), Reserves (1977-1979)

Aviation Jet Mechanic
Responsible for:
• The maintenance and repairs of the Sikorsky RH-53D mine sweeping helicopters two jet engines as well as all the additional mechanical parts that enable it rotors and flight controls.
