All textures on this recording were rendered using a Synclavier Digital Guitar Interface.
Although a guitar with digital interface could trigger virtually any sound,
this is a series of pieces centered primarily on a singular core timbre / color field:
"Guitar/Cello".
String controlled - sample rate conversion of an "Orchestral Cymbal"
was also deployed as a timbre source.
Digital guitar technology presents many "useful restrictions";
in essence stripping away the relevance of (and reliance upon) certain techniques:
string bending - chords - quick phrases - feedback - touch dynamics.
Within context of these "useful restrictions",
structures were played relatively slowly and in wide string intervals (Glacial).
The idea was to extend the guitar vocabulary.
