This adorable boy is Berkley, a Lab/Chow mix born approximately 4/03. He is a gentle and well-adjusted guy who loves to play with other dogs. Berkley is very child friendly — he doesn't jump at young children, but will be happy to give them kisses in the face. Berkley has typical puppy behavior (i.e., likes to chew and dig) and would do best in a home with another dog that likes to romp and play. His favorite toys are Nylabones and Kongs which keep him occupied for long periods of time. Berkley can charm most dogs and people into playing with him; however if no one is available, he amuses himself by chasing his tail. Berkley is learning good house manners, and with a little maturity and consistent positive reinforcement, he will catch on quickly. Berkley is smart, observant and wants to please. He does well in the bath and loves to be brushed!! Berkley only barks if there is a reason (i.e., a new person is approaching or he wants back in the house). He also loves car rides! Berkley will make a great family companion for many years.
