The College Matchmaker
For Students

It may be hard to believe, but 10 years from now, your SAT scores will have nothing to do with your success or happiness in life, and college admission anxiety will be a distant memory.

Right now, getting into a good college is everything.  You probably hear stories about top students getting rejected by their dream schools.  And it's true, there is more competition for admission.

But it is also true that most students are getting into great colleges and having terrific experiences.  There are hundreds of fine schools where you can get an excellent education and have a good time doing it.  The important thing is to find a school where you'll feel excited about learning, where there will be people you want to be friends with, where you'll feel good about yourself, and where you'll get excellent preparation for graduate school or the job market.

This is the first big decision of your life.  While it can be helpful to gather information and opinions from parents, friends, teachers -- you're the one who will be spending four years at college, and you need to make the decision about what school is right for you.

I can help.  We work together to plan courses, extracurricular activities or community service that will help you develop your interests, and to identify colleges that would be great matches for you.  When it's time to apply, I help you present yourself in the most positive way, to give you the best shot at getting into those schools.
