Built in 1925. One of the very few brick structures to be built in Lynch. The Louisville & Nashville Railroad Company carried mail and passengers with a 'noon' day schedule. This passenger train, a coal burning steam locomotive belching black smoke and spewing steam and coal ash would arrive at 12:00 noon and depart shortly thereafter.
The steam locomotives were in later years replaced by diesel powered locomotives.
The L & N Rail Company hauled coal for the mine operation.
