Camp Director Eric Webster

 •     Has been working in television, radio, theater and comedy for 18 years.

 •     He Teaches Acting and Improv at the Guthrie Theater and Centennial Middle School.

 •     He is the Artistic Director for the Museum of Russian Art Theater, writing, directing and performing original works.

 Stage work includes

 •     "We Gotta Bingo"  and "Song of Singapore" for the Actors Theater of Minnesota.

 •     "Laundry and Theoretical Physics" and "London After Midnight" at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater.

 •     "Tony and Tina`s Wedding`` at the Hey City Theater as Tony, and Best Man, Barry Wheeler .

     "The Bible; the complete word of God abridged", "Pavilion" and "Laughter on the 23rd floor" at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse.

 •     "Funny Business" at Hennepin Stages.

     "Boccacio and the Bachelor Pad" at the Playwrights' Center.

     His work on stage also includes 12 years in stand-up comedy.

     In television, he hosted, wrote and produced ``The Big Bad Movie`` which earned an Emmy Nomination. He also hosted the nationally broadcast ``Big Events`` for 2 years on DirecTV. He also hosted two other national television programs - "The Home Preview Channel" and "Travelcopia".

 •     He spent 6 seasons with the St. Paul Saints Baseball Club as the Master of Ceremonies/Announcer, and Director of Gameday Entertainment.

 •      On radio, he was the host of the ``Two Martini Lunch`` and "The Hideaway Lounge" on KLBB, and was the host, of ``The Latest...`` on ABC Radio. Currently he is the Producer of the syndicated radio show "It Takes A Village". His radio resume also includes working at KFAN sports talk radio Minneapolis as a talk show host and a show producer for Jesse Ventura.

Shanan Wexler

Improvisation

Shanan earned an M.A. in Theater History, Theory and Criticism from the University of Maryland, College Park.  She graduated with honors with a degree in theater from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. Currently, Shanan is an adjunct faculty in the Theater Department at St. Kate’s as well as at the University of St. Thomas.  She is also an Associate at Thomson University with Thomson West Publishing in Eagan where she teaches how to deliver effective presentations to professionals of all levels.  An award-winning writer, Shanan was an Honorable Mention in Creative Fiction in the Loft’s Mentorship competition in Minneapolis.  In 2005, she was selected as a finalist in the mentorship program for Memoir at SASE in Minneapolis. Other awards include a Research and Creative Work Award from the Abigail Quigley McCarthy Center for Women as well as Honorable Mention for the Denny Prize for Distinction in Writing from the College of St. Catherine.   

 Described by Twin Cities critics as a “clever and inventive voice in comic theater,” Shanan Wexler is a veteran of the Brave New Workshop in Uptown Minneapolis, where she wrote and performed in 14 sketch comedy revues, the more recent of which was named a Top Critics Choice for Best New Play 2004 by the Star Tribune. Shanan also co-wrote and now performed in the Actors Theater of Minnesota’s interactive comedy hit “We Gotta Bingo” at the Lowry Theater in St. Paul, now in its third year.  Recently, Shanan performed with Joshua Scrimshaw in their original comedy hit “From Here to Maternity” at the 2007 Minneapolis Fringe Festival, which was one of the Top Ten shows of the festival. With Hardcover Theater, Shanan co-wrote and performed in all five episodes of their hit Victorian serial “London After Midnight” and is currently writing and will perform and direct the Hardcover Mainstage show at the Playwright’s Center this May.  Other notable projects include 2006’s successful ode to Jane Austen in “Pride and Plot of Pointlessness” with Hang Kitty Productions as well as “Love Letters” with Workhouse Theater as part of their Reader’s Theater Series.  You can occasionally catch Shanan making up lines when she goes in to understudy the role of Miranda in Joseph Scrimshaw’s on-going Monday night hit “Adventures in Mating” at the Bryant Lake Bowl.

Shanan also does voice-over work (her “Target Market” ad series won the Minneapolis Advertising Federation’s “Best of Show” in radio for 2003) and television (as the panicked housewife in Qwest’s “Jack My Price Up!” campaign).
