The propulseur (atlatl) on the top is a replica of the hyena of La Madeleine (Dordogne, France).  It is made of mammoth ivory (like the genuine piece), the handle is made of oak tree (with bison sinew).  Length: 50cm.  Please note that La Madeleine Cave gave the name of the culture.

The spearthrower on the bottom is the most famous piece from prehistory: le Faon aux oiseaux (ibex with birds) from Le Mas d'Azil (Ariege, France).  It is made of reindeer antler (like the authentic piece), and the handle is made of birch (with bison sinew). Length: 52 cm.

Thanks to Pascal Chauvaux  for both the photogragh and the accompanying text.
