FIRST if you're eating salt, chips, popcorn, canned foods, you have to connect with the fact that you're killing yourself with your mouth. There's an unconscious DEATHWISH if you know you have this blood pressure problem starting and the main part of your diet is salted meat, white bread, fried foods, salted cheese, and everything in the marketplace pre-salted at the factory or served at the local tasty fastfood joint. Check the salt count. It's a FORMULA for certain, early death.
Second, if you're getting Transfats in baked goods or heating any oils, and char-barbecuing your steaks and eating foods full of sat fats or into a plaque-causing diet of rich foods like BEEF daily and you think this is how we should eat in the 21st century, you're programmed for fun not longevity. I know! I'm totally addicted to butter on morning bible bread toast myself. And I use Full fat yogurt which one has to buy 32 oz at a time cuz there's no FULL FAT in the 8 oz cups. But I don't eat beef more than once a year as it's too pricey. However I've got a little stripe of crazy even using yogurt and butter cuz MY BP is 140 over 90 since I turned 70.

If you feed rats they get bigger and breed more. If you feed the dairy and meat industry they will be on your grandkids one day and YOU? You will pay twice. If we make our dietary mainstays beef, milk and fast foods and eating out then we are using the most killer foods that exist and we're probably using them in digestion-stressing combinations, i.e. protein with sugars/fruits and starches. If you're going to eat animal proteins, eat them with green salad and low starch vegies, period. Some ice cold olive oil/ garlic and lemon over the top as Caesar dressings. Nothing fried, as heating oils makes them killers. But do feel free to use some fat free meat in your beans or vegies.

And I know that you observed them eating them and salting them heavily and setting them on top of FLOUR based foods like bread, (which move sluggishly through colon so that constipation is a secondary problem.) and so naturally, you do the same thing.
Well, un-program yourself. Say adios to that inner MOMMY who's idea of delicious is a dead body on a slab of white bread slathered with gravy. From now on, you're going to use a tiny amt. of those rich meaty foods as ACCOMPANIMENT to salads, lightly buttered vegetables and vegetable based soups and then pulse, beans. You are going to get your eat-out butt back into the KITCHEN, too and take charge of making those vegetables stacked in your fridge into TASTY low-cost meals --in case your local café can't. The cafe makes chicken taste good by leaving skin on and frying the whole bundle. You strip the skin, feed it to animals mixed in with vegies. You yourself do not eat chicken skin. Ever. No cafe would respect your right to live healthily so avoid 'em!
Combine vegies until they taste the way you like them. for me, that's lemon/ garlic/ parsley/ butter on top. I either cut my butter wi. olive oil or turn it into ghee. Wolf down a pound of broccoli prepared that way your tummy is happy. Wrinkles depart. Your color returns. Every week I look for broccoli sales. 99c was sale price this week. (the stems are cooked and eaten peeled, and I also peel/ cook broc/ chart with the cheap chicken (39c an lb on sale in2015!) cat meat.)
NO TIME TO COOK? Hey junk food cuts down on your time by about forty years! Death is time lost isn't it? So take ten to cook vegies or wash salad and dry it. Blend olive oil, garlic, herbs, onions, lemon and keep in an old glass jar. You have no excuse for not having a delicious vegie, soup or salad. The usual excuse is 'nothing in the fridge and no time.' UNACCEPTABLE. We are going to give you tasty recipes here, that are fast as fast can be. So get those vegies and fruits stacked up, kiddo! And remember, many fruits reduce high blood pressure instantly, like pineapple.
You will require a high potassium or magnesium (vegetables/fruits/grains) diet for 80% of your meal. Then, a little big of animal PROTEIN but just a tad, used as a CONDIMENT, almost. Before you ate this big pot of meat with a little vegies on the side. Now it's the other way around. A HUGE plate of salad and a little meat on the edge! And last and most magical, CELERY JUICE made on a 35$ Walmart Juicer. That's the cure for high BP. Now isn't that easy? Aren't you glad you found such a nice, kind free nutritionist?

BEST VEGETABLE FOR MEALS- CELERY- Salads get the celery raw, soups get a cup thrown in, simmered for a while. Use canned, cooked beets a lot. OPEN a can, rinse off the salt. Throw beets into a container with home made garlic vinagrette, olive oil, lemon juice so that all beets are under the liquid, seal it with a lid or bag it, use beet pieces daily on top of salads. You can steam or simmer 1 cup chopped celery, throw into stews, salads. Its high level of organic sodium will MELT the inorganic sodium in your veins which causes HB pressure. When serving, add 1 tsp lemon, a little butter, toss with minced, fresh onion, and a dash of raw garlic, eat as a side dish to protein meal.
