OUR MEETINGS
The Colorado River Astronomy Club usually meets once each month. Those meetings usually are on a Saturday, and we try to
pick a day when the moon sets early so we can turn our attention to Deep Sky Objects (DSOs) without the light from our satellite
interfering with dark sky observations. The club doesn't meet during the summer as temperatures in Blythe, even at midnight,
can be very uncomfortable during that season.
We invite you to watch this page. We'll post announcements of future meetings here. You are welcome to attend any of
the club's meetings or activities.
OUR NEXT MEETING
Our next meeting will be 17 March, 2007. We're planning a Messier Marathon, an all night session during which each object
in the Messier Catalog will be viewed. Join us at our 4th Avenue Dark Sky Site. Simply take US hwy 95 north from Blythe
to 4th Avenue. Turn east (right) and proceed about 2.25 miles. Turn left on the paved road with no name. Continue to the
road's end, about half a mile. You've found us. Welcome!
Please try to arrive well before dusk so your headlights won't ruin other participant's night vision.
