Rates and dates, some basic information to assist you in choosing your condo.

When is the best time to ski?
Anytime! However, if you are looking to avoid the crowds, come during regular season. A superb time? The first two weeks of January! Holiday crowds have gone, and Sundance crowds haven't yet arrived!

What about early or late season?
Great pricing is available during this time period, however, no one can predict the snow conditions. We have had some of our best snowfalls in late March to mid-April, and I've wanted to cry when the resorts closed while blanketed with fresh powder. If you come early or late and Park City conditions are not what you want, head on over to Alta and Snowbird! The Bird has been know to stay open until July 4th!

Why do condo prices vary?
Condos located in Park City proper (downtown-walk to Main Street) will have higher rates than those just a couple of miles out. Condos that are "walk to the slope" friendly, will have higher rates than those that a car would be needed. Condos that are on the free transit route, hence, no car needed, are of high demand so groups can separate and ski different mountains.

Do I need to rent a car? Hire a private driver?
Sometimes renting a car makes economic sense. For example, if you are a group of 4, round trip transit from one of the many providers will cost you about $280 plus tips. Shopping around might get you a $100 one way fare with a private driver. Factor in the convenience of a car, the side trip to Alta or Snowbird ($30+ per person), sightseeing, and renting a car is easily the way to go. However, if just the two of you are coming to Park City and have no intention of skiing elsewhere, and your condo is on the free transit route, SKIP THE CAR! Aspens suggests one of the following companies for your individual needs:

For small groups or individuals, and/or if you want free taxi service: then Park Transportation may work best for you. Rates are approximately $70 for round trip, per person, and include local taxi service with your roundtrip transfer price.

OR if you are a group of 4 or more, then PEAK Transportation is the way to go! PEAK offers PRIVATE ride service at $119 each way for a group of four. For a group of 6, PEAK is $139 each way, or $280 round trip, whereas Park City Transportation would be $420!

Please note: all rates are approximate and subject to the rules and regulations of the individual companies. Aspens does NOT guarantee the above rates!
