I walked beside you in a dream
Upon a velvet cloud.
We wandered down a yellow beam
Of sunlight, to the ground.
Somehow we dropped into the sea
And floated on a wave.
It carried us so tenderly
Into a starlit cave.
We landed on a golden beach
Built castles in the sand.
And just when you were about to reach
And take me by the hand
The bubble burst and I awoke
With you not there by me
All that remained of the broken dream
Is a tender memory.
