Timber Frame & Structural Panels: Apr-Jun 2004

Note: On Monday, Apr 26th Scott Tihansky (General Contractor) and I took a field trip to the Riverbend plant to watch our timber frame being cut. It was very impressive watching their skill in action.

Cleaning up a 7" x 13" curved-bottom beam

The timbers and a few panels are delivered

The kids put the first bent together, including driving the crane and hammering in the oak pegs, this is the exterior entry bent

5/26/04
The first bent (south gable wall) is up with 2 more pegged and ready to raise

5/27/04
Several more bents are up, that's Anne, Zak & Trevor are sitting on the beam

5/28/04
Almost all of the core frame is up and 4 of the 13 panel walls as well

6/1/04
Panels up around 2 wings, ridge beams and rafters going up now

6/4/04
All wall panels are up and they started on the roof panels

6/8/04
Most of the roof panels are now up

6/9/04
The roof panels are pretty much complete

6/11/04
The entry is finished as well
