In this exhibition of works, you will find paintings and sculptures of women. These works range from fantastic, surrealistic, realistic, to abstract/realistic. Although I paint many subjects, I always come back to woman as a primary focus.

Art is a form of communication between artist and viewer. With these works, I lay open my mind and inner feelings to you, the viewer.


There are multiple layers of meaning in these works of art. Views of women (their roles and characteristics), as gleaned from literature, music, conversations, and personal experience. Dreams and fleeting images are brought to life with paint and wood. Emotions are caught and locked in pigment. I expose not only my inner feelings, but I toy with cultural views of propriety and societal stereotypes.

Whatever the image may mean to me, it will evoke different responses in every viewer. It may or may not resonate with a particular viewer based on his/her experiences and emotions. Explore and enjoy.
