During
a four-month stay in Ahmednagar India in 1977, I noticed that among the strange plants one would expect to see in this distant
land, were those familiar weeds which lived half a world away. Even considering
natural travelers like cockle burrs, pitchforks, tack vine and beggars lice, I still found it amazing that these unwanted
weeds could travel the thousands of miles over land and water.
