Solveig
Arneng was born in
Kirkenes, Norway in
1925. She attended the Royal Norwegian Art Academy in Oslo. While
studying there she met Rudolph Johnson, who was also born in Kirkenes
but migrated to the United States when a small child. The pair were
married in 1949, and raised three children in Duluth, Minnesota.
Solveig's most recent major exhibition has been at the Arctic Gallery
in
Tromsø, Norway in 1998, as part of the Nana Festival, in which
she participated. She currently resides in Duluth. Self portrait |
