I will be adding more Loop In Loop pictures in the future. Loop in Loop is a very old form of chain making, originally
developed by the Sumerians and Egyptians almost 3000 years ago. Loop in Loop was embraced by the Greeks who spread the
technique throughout their trading network in the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas, eventually to the North Sea and the Celtic
nations. This technique reached its heyday with the Etruscans, who were renowned for their gold smithing skills.
The process of making Loop in Loop is very slow, because each ring must be fused, bent and annealed several times before a
chain can be started. The images I have posted now will be supplemented in the future to give you an idea of the array
of chains it is possible to make.
