My KAP
Now that I have 2 projects I'm working on I have created my Knitting Action Plan (KAP). Here it goes: I will
complete one repetition of the Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban scarf, then finish the first sleeve of Kyoto. Go back
to the PoA scarf for a pattern repeat, then to Kyoto for the second sleeve, PoA pattern, then Kyoto collar. All of the
Kyoto pieces will be completed then. I'm excited!
I've added a touch of the green at the bottom of the sleeve as well. Here is my progress so far:

The sash is at the bottom, the front 2 pieces are above the sash, the back is on the left, and a sleeve
is on the right.
I look forward to getting it all completed, blocked, and sewn together.
I'm doing the Harry Potter scarf in the Ravenclaw house colors from the book. Here is my progress so far:

Those colors make me feel warm and cozy!

work in progress
I'm working on changing up the look and format of this site. It's taking me some time to figure out all of the
things I could do. I want to start adding links to the blogs that I enjoy reading. I'm at my folk's now so I have
the high speed capabilities on my side. Hopefully the transition time won't be too long as I learn how to do this.

My yarn is coming! My yarn is coming!
The yarn for my Harry Potter Prisoner of Azkaban scarf was just shipped! Hooray!!! Unfortunately, I'm in
Fayetteville at my husband's family's house until Sunday and the yarn is being shipped to my parents house. But, this
gives me this week to really focus in hard on the Kyoto sweater. Both front sides are done and I have begun working
on a sleeve. It would be great if I could get all the parts done before returning to Kannapolis (where my folks live).
That may be being a bit optimistic though.
Now if I could just get Bruce to take his nap and let me knit, knit, knit.

Progress
I completed the back this weekend and began the right front. I'm halfway through on that. It seems to be
going pretty fast which gets me excited. But I also realize the the sleeves will take a lot of time.
We went to Asheville this past weekend. I had planned to go to Yarn Paradise, a yarn store I have heard about the
is in Biltmore Village. But, because of the hurricane, Biltmore Village was flooded. We drove by Sunday after
the water had receded and there were workmen in the store. I'll try again another time.
I'm trying to decide what my next project will be.

Bamboo!
I just have to say that bamboo needles are amazingly better than the aluminum. I bought a set of bamboo circulars
for this project and the difference is amazing. The yarn flows on and off the bamboo so smoothly, while the aluminum
needles make the yarn catch and seem to have more friction. I'm a convert!

Move: First Phase Complete!
We have now moved out of our little one bedroom apartment and begun our long-term visitng with family adventure.
One positive of this is that when we are staying with my family, we get high speed internet access. Much nicer then
my former dial up speed.
I have begun working on the back and am pretty close to the decreasing section. Here is a picture of the completed
sash:

It seems much larger than it is. I'm making the large, so it is 38 inches around, but it just
seems so big when I try it on. It makes me worried that I'm making the whole thing too big. But the measuring
tape has me at 38 so...
I tried earlier to post the Kyoto2 KnitAlong button with no success. Here I will try it again. It really
is helpful to see what everyone else is doing. It is keeping me going!

Jury Duty
My day of jury duty ended up being a day full of sitting on my tail and knitting. I never even got called up to
be questioned! But I did finish the sash.
I've been trying to post since Monday but my computer has been insane. I've just tried to add a picture of the
sash but it is not working. poot.
I've started working on the back. It seems to be going much faster than the sash.
We keep moving things every day. Hopefully we'll be out of this apartment on Friday. We'll see though.
It's hard to move with a toddler around.
