Many locations, especially out East and the Cold Northeast regions use Oil furnaces and boilers to heat
their homes and their water. Heated water is also a great way to heat your home .
These Boilers and furnaces use a heavy oil that has to be stored nearby, Unlike our dependence on
Natural gas which has a monopoly woops did I say the M word. , The Oil can be substituted with any type of vegetable oil such
as biodiesel either new or Waste. you can get a press and squeeze your own of any type such as cotton seed oil. Did
you know that Cottonseed is cheap and when squeezed will return 40% by weight of oil. Just a few thing to consider on
them cold Arkansas or anywhere for that matter nights.
Then there are the folks who love a fireplace, so do I. Did you know that soy oil processors
throw away the thick sludge that comes from the oil filtering process. Yep thats what I said. I am tired of seeing it go to
a landfill. Why dont folks get together , get a pelletizer and make their own wood stove burnable high output pellets.
I dont believe in waste of energy in any form, yet there is enough energy thrown away down here to heat the whole Delta and
then some.
Then there is the recovered oil from processing that is reclaimed and dewatered at the water treatment
plant. They sell the stuff by the tanker car loads for pennies on the pound. usually to the dog food people. I wonder if the
stock holders realize how much waste in process goes on in their name. This is all potential energy.
