Advertise With Us
If you are a part of a business that
operates within the South Bay area, you can submit an advertisement
which the choir will publish in each event program throughout the
entire year. For a nominal advertising fee, we will print your ad
in each of our 4 performance programs this year. That's right...
your ad will appear FOUR times throughout the course of the school
year! *
Just make out a check to WHS Aristocracy
and enclose it with your business card or artwork. Mail it to Ms.
Kathleen Jensen, West High School, 20401 Victor St., Torrance, CA
90503. Be sure to include a note containing your name, business
name, and address if the ad does not already state that information.
The prices for different-sized ads are
as follows: Full Page (8" tall x 4.75" wide) - $200; Half Page (4" tall
x 4.75" wide) - $100; Quarter Page or Business Card (2" tall x 4.75"
wide) - $50.
And remember, your advertising dollar
goes FOUR TIMES FARTHER THAN USUAL!
* Aristocracy must recieve artwork and
payment before October 24, 2008.
Thank you very much for your generous
contribution.
Winter Season Events
Christmas CD
Each year
Aristocracy performs a number of traditional Christmas carols in
addition to the concert repertoire. These carols range from the
most popular songs like Jolly Old St. Nicholas to ones that are less
well known, including Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming. The choir
sings a different set of carols every year. All the carols are
arranged as 4-part a cappella pieces. Aristocracy began recording
these songs during the 2006-2007 Winter Season. Therefore,
although the choir has sung many more carols in the past, only certain
carols have been recorded. Here are the titles of the carols
currently on the Christmas CD:
2008-2009 Aristocracy
1. The First Noel
2. Carol of the Birds
3. O Come, All Ye Faithful
4. Silent Night
5. Hark! The Herald Angles Sing
6. O Come, O Come Immanuel
7. Good Christian Men, Rejoice!
2007-2008 Aristocracy
1. O Little Town of Bethlehem
2. O Come, Little Children
3. We Three Kings of Orient Are
4. Jingle Bells
5. Good King Wenceslas
6. What Child Is This?
7. Deck the Hall
2006-2007 Aristocracy
8. Here We Come A-Caroling
9. Jolly Old St. Nicholas
10. March of the Three Kings
11. O Christmas Tree
12. I Heard the Bells On Christmas Day
13. Ring, Christmas Bells (Carol of the Bells)
14. Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming
15. We Wish You A Merry Christmas
These CDs are great as gifts for family, friends... even
yourself! Each CD is $10. Aristocracy will be distributing
them and collecting money during the last week of school
(12/17/07-12/20/07). In order to produce the right number of CDs,
the choir is selling them only by preorder. To order a CD,
contact Mrs. Jensen by e-mail (kjensen@teacher.tusd.org) or phone (310)

will be delivering holiday songs via telephone. In addition to
this year's carols, the choir offers a few songs from the concert
repertoire. All songs are in 4-part harmony or greater.
Here is a list of the songs available for the holiday
gram:

O Come, Little Children
Jingle Bells
Good King Wenceslas

We Three Kings of Orient Are
Deck the Hall

Each holiday gram, one of the above songs, placed in a (310) area code
will
cost $5. If the call is to somewhere outside of the (310) area
