Dear Prospective ASL Member:

I am writing to you to discuss an interest our league has in positioning a franchise in your market. The Arena Soccer League will be playing their initial season in 2005, from mid August to November, with the Championship game in early November. This coming season, 2004, we are contemplating playing a series of exhibition games with an ASL All Star team, or a team of your choice, versus a series of International teams from Brazil, Canada, El Salvador, and Mexico, contemplating a full schedule in 2005 with 8-12 teams, 4-6 in the southeast and 4-6 on the east coast and 4-6 in the southwest. We will add other geographic areas as interest mandates. Interest has been surprising, with over 92 inquiries from quality midsize markets. We have the luxury of picking and choosing our markets and we are very much interested in yours.

Our business plan for the league is quite impressive, with team budgets realistic and break-even crowds achievable. Another well-received feature of our league is the window we are playing in, the middle of August until late November, which is the true soccer season in America, with no other indoor sports being played, and football, not our market, being played outdoors. Soccer participation continues to grow at a double digit rate yearly, thus increasing the size of our audience. The whole concept makes good sound business sense and with many Mid Size Arenas being built, there is a growing demand for product.
