Congratulations, you made it to the beginning of Anime Survivor. If you are not familiar with anime, Survivor, Ranma ½, or Tenchi Muyo!, please click on the name you are unfamiliar with and follow the link to an explanation. You should at least have a surface familiarity with the TV show Survivor (1st season), as well as all of the anime of Ranma ½ and Tenchi Muyo released in the US to be able to get what is going on here, as well as why it's a good idea to have these two series match up against eachother. This site contains some spoilers, so consider yourself warned.

I am basing Anime Survivor on the first season of Survivor in the U.S. The Ranma and Tenchi tribes will be performing the same challenges as the tribes on the first season of Survivor.

So, what exactly is "Anime Survivor" anyway? Well, first of all, it is not Mortal Kombat between anime characters from various shows. This is not about whether Ryoko can beat Shampoo in one-on-one hand-to-hand combat. I don't think those kind of comparisons work out well anyway, because you are working with different "universes", i.e. there is no Jurai power in the Ranma universe, etc. If you were to try a WWF-style Royal Rumble with these two casts, I think that Ryo-ohki would win hands down anyway, because she would just transform into a spaceship and commence orbital bombardment far away from any possible attack. Also, some of the Ranma ½ cast are not fighters per se anyway, such as Nabiki and Kasumi. If you are looking for something like an anime Mortal Kombat, I found a site (I'm sure there are others) you can visit called Anime Death Match. Also, there's a great fan video by Doki Doki Productions called "Ranma Kombat".

There are a lot of so-called Anime Survivor sites already out there on the internet. Many of them are lists of anime web sites where one site is voted off each week. This is more of a fanfiction (fanfic), and you don't get to vote.

Anime Survivor is a game of Survivor where the contestants are drawn from anime series, in this case Ranma ½ and Tenchi Muyo, to form two tribes. The contestants perform the same physical challenges as in Survivor season 1 and vote eachother off the island. This way you get to see some of the physical attributes of the characters (not like that, hentai!), but mostly you get to see the interactions of the characters in voting eachother off the island. When the two tribes merge, things could get really interesting.

In choosing the casts for the two tribes, I tried to include my favorite characters from each show, as well as those I thought would generate conflicts with one another. Survivor requires 8 members for each tribe. I selected 8 from each show, plus the shows' mascots (P-chan and Ryo-ohki) just for fun.
