QUILT North meets on the first Monday of the month, except for September when because of the Labor Day holiday, we meet on the second Monday. Our guild year is from September to June. A calendar of this year's schedule of meetings, workshops, and other events will be available in PDF format in the next few weeks.

Meetings are held at Shenendehowa United Methodist Church, 971 Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Most meetings are followed the next day, go to the calendar page for more information. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.

Each meeting consists of a speaker, guild business, and "show and tell" by our members. Be sure to check in each month and to wear your name tag for a chance to win a prize. Check out the Block of the Month, Library, Opportunity, Workshops, Freebies, and other tables.

Guild activities at each meeting include:

Block of the month: Purchase the block kit, take it home, sew it up, and return it the next month to get a chance to win 20 blocks.

Opportunity chances: A dollar will give you one opportunity (ticket) to win a prize of your choice.

Library: Borrow and/or donate quilting and quilt-related books. Also, if you have any tools you no longer want or use that often, bring them in and donate them to the library so members can try them out.

Name tag drawing: Members are asked to wear own-made, cloth name tags. At the end of the meeting, a name is drawn from the member list and the person wins a gift certificate to a local quilt shop, but ONLY IF they are present and wearing their name tag.

Charity quilts: One of the ongoing efforts of the guild is to provide completed quilts to organizations in the region working with children and families in need. More details available on the charity quilts page.

Freebies: Do you have some quilting items that you would like to give away (because who could throw these things out)? Then our freebie table is just the place. Just remember to bring home anything that wasn't taken.
