Apache Kid Galahad, Sire of Mamin Iskitpe Apache

Apache Kid Galahad comes directly from Frank Scripters Breeding program.

He is owned by The American Leopard Appaloosa Ranch in Moses Lake Washington. We visited him last year and know where our Apache gets his big bone and sweet dispostion.

Apache Kid Galahad lines includes the Ghost Wind Stallions, Colorado Ranger Bred, Sundance Sam Fisher lines (one of the last of the Nez Perce programs), Claude Thompson, founder of the ApHC decendents and San Rafael lines that also predate the ApHC.

Apache has the sweetest disposition. He loves to brushed and enjoys trail riding in the Pacific Northwest. He is easy to handle, has increable gait and has solid black feet that have never needed shoes.

Apache is our foundation stallion. He has proven his color production in his foals that can be seen on this site but many still doubt that he is an appaloosa.... See his picture pedigree and you will see where all that color comes from.

Black Maggie was a black mare with a snowflake blanket that can almost be seen in the picture above. Chubs Powderface influence in Mamin Iskitpe Apache is on both the Sire and Dams side, thought close up on the bottom. Black Maggie was never registered so is not recognized by the ApHC as an appaloosa, though clearly, she was bred that way.

"John was a good student of pedigrees and their potential. His biggest splash on the national scene was the impact of his colt Chub's Powderface T-24129.

In the third generation back of Chub's Powderface, ... the stallion, Utah, appears twice on the dam's side. He was a white horse having many large black spots over the hips that he kept his intire life. This was very firmly fixed in Chub's dam who was the product of a son and daughter of Utah."
