Miscellany
Women's Nordic Ski Clinics: A chance for women to improve their skills and
fitness level in an encouraging environment. Program will feature
video tape as an instructional aid. Advanced beginner through
intermediate. Limit eight women per clinic. Call for dates and
time: 413-684-0148. Pre-registration required. Members $40, nonmembers

Bring Fido
. . . but don't take him on the trails. Instead, lead him south
of Route 9 into the Hume Brook area where skiing, or snowshoeing,
or romping with pets is encouraged.
Bring the Kids:
If they're really young, the Kinder Loop is for them. Find it
just north of the Visitor Center.
Snowshoes:
Etiquette demands that if you follow a ski trail you walk alongside
it, preserving the tracks. Otherwise, cross Route 9 to the designated
backcountry and showshoe area.
