Sidelined by Love scheduled for e-release November 23!
My
first book in the Logan family series, Sidelined
by Love, will be available in e-format from The Wild Rose Press next Friday, November 23rd and available in print on December 21st!
Here’s
what others are saying about the book:
“A sassy, sexy reunion story! This heroine is equal to the task of tackling her old flame the high school
quarterback…” ~Karen
Kendall, author of Fit to Be Tied
“Great characters and a compelling love
story make Ana Aragón’s Sidelined by Love a memorable read. Delicious
hero Brock Logan will fuel lots of fantasies!” ~Berta Platas, author of Cinderella Lopez
Running back home to Logan Springs seemed like a good idea nine months ago, when Gaby Flores left her false-hearted fiancé
at the altar after catching him playing hide the chorizo with her bridesmaid
before the wedding. But the environmental scientist finds herself Sidelined
by Love when the high school quarterback who broke her heart returns to town with his uptown version of economic
progress.
Notorious
bad boy Brock Logan is back in town, hoping to repair his reputation by building a regional mall on the outskirts of Logan
Springs. The tree-hugging beauty trying to quarterback blitz him is none other than Gaby Flores, who clothes-lined his heart
the day she hit town. He’s never forgotten—or forgiven—the class valedictorian for the unsportsmanlike conduct that knocked
him on his butt ten years ago. For him, this is Super Bowl XLII, and all tactics are fair game, even romance.
Gaby may think this is just a weekend game, but Brock knows the right moves will win her heart and get his mall built. His
kisses are MVP-worthy, but will his moves get him trapped in his end zone…or will he make that long-awaited touchdown for
happiness?
Print
copies available through Barnes and Noble, Borders, Amazon, and The Wild Rose Press on December 23rd!

Life Got in the Way?
So sad. This summer was a real doozy and I got behind in my edits. Suffice to say, my release date has been pushed back
and is now scheduled for the end of September.
Hang in there....it's coming!

Sidelined by Love scheduled for August Release!
Yes, it's true! Brock and Gaby's story, Sidelined by Love, is scheduled to be released by The Wild Rose Press by
August 31st.
Read the Back Page Blurb:

An Excerpt from Sidelined by Love:
Gaby tried to fight the attraction as her heart beat wildly in her chest. She knew she shouldn’t meet privately with him.
In her mind, it would be unethical for her to agree to it. Brock Logan was her adversary, and if there was one thing she
needed to remember, there wasn’t any room for negotiation with big-time developers—give them an inch and they’d take a mile.
She had no business meeting him for a couple of drinks, for old times’ sake or not.
Her heart said yes, but her mouth said, “No.” She shook her head. “Sorry, Brock. I make it a point not to socialize with the
enemy.”
“Enemy?” Brock good-naturedly reached for his chest as if she’d
stabbed him. “C’mon, Gaby, I’m just a good old country boy trying to make a decent living by helping to—”
“—Destroy the environment,” Gaby interjected.
“You’re killing me, sweetheart.”
“I’m not your sweetheart, Brock, so quit with the endearments, would you?”
He smiled, his face open and friendly. “Sorry, Gaby. It’s an old habit, and you know what they say about old habits, don’t
you? They’re hard to break.”
She smiled back and winked. “I’ll let you in on a little secret, Brock. If you don’t quit calling me sweetheart, I’ll make
sure to help you break it.” She paused for effect. “Remember, I’ve got history on my side.”
His deep guttural laugh eased the tension from her shoulders. He took her hand and before she could stop him, he’d brought
it to his lips, caressing her fingertips. The feel of his day-old beard on her skin had her insides steaming. His deep, blue
eyes explored her face, and her body temperature rose incrementally with each swipe of his lips. “How about eight o’clock
next Thursday night?” he asked, his voice low and seductive. “A business meeting, Gaby, that’s all. I promise to behave.”
She pulled her fingers from his grasp and shook her head. “Sorry. I’m busy that night.”
He put his hands behind his back and leaned down to look directly into her eyes. “Too busy to work in a business meeting
about the Logan Development project, Gaby? I guess I was wrong about your passion against the project.” He took a stray strand
of her hair and tucked it behind her ear.
“Don’t.”

Just an update....
Well, I've finally found time to write and am at 156 pages!
Jenn graduates this Friday, graduation party on Saturday and a long weekend! Unfortunately, I won't be able to write
because of family coming in.
Ah, well, such is life. This is a big weekend for me...the last one out of the nest! Well, actually out of the nest and
into college, so still lots of expenses. But at the speed she's going, I expect her to be out of college in four years max!
And considering it took me 12 to get my undergraduate degree...
Hope you have a great weekend...keep in touch!

Weekly Page Count for Strike Three - You're Mine
Well, I've decided I need to force myself to finish this book before I go to RWA National in Dallas in July. So I'm putting
my goals up here for all to see. I anticipate that the book will be somewhere between 300 and 400 pages, or 90,000-100,000
words. Today, I'm at 115 pages, approximately 33,000 words. With 50 days until National, I'll need to write at least 1100
words a day or 8000 words a week.
A daunting task you say? Perhaps, but I'm going to use a ticker to keep you posted on how I'm doing. So you're going
to keep me on track by being the eye over my shoulder!
Here's the ticker to date....let's see how I do!

What is your personal DNA?
I happened on this questionnaire a couple of days ago and, boy, was I impressed with the way the questions were gauged
and how closely it described me. Below is my personal DNA chart. If you run your cursor over each block, it gives a description
of my personality traits.
If you have the time (it took me approximately 15 minutes to take the quiz) click on this link--and e-mail me from the
click on my Contact Me page to tell me how closely the quiz describes the real YOU!

Finally posting some pictures....
You'll find a few pictures of my daughter, Jennifer, on the photos page. She's grown up into a beautiful young woman,
ready to take on the world. She's graduating a year early and will start college in June.
I also posted some other pictures of my trip to Egypt and Italy. I had a wonderful time and just seeing the pictures
again has a way of calming me down. If you ever have an opportunity, do visit Egypt. It is a wonderful country with beautiful
people and such a wonderful and rich history. I cannot wait to start on the romantic suspense novel I am planning to write
about Egypt and Italy. Rome, of course, was everything I expected it to be...and more. The sights and sounds will be with
me forever!
I hope you're having a wonderful day as well. Take time to savor the quiet times with your loved ones. I wish all my
friends a happy Mother's Day. I will enjoy it for the first time with all my children. What fun!
Blessings,
Ana

Okay, so I'm a hopeless romantic...
I just took a quiz on Ellen Peter's website that gauged how much of a romantic you are. And guess what it had to say
about me?
You're a hopeless romantic. You require ample doses of warmth and sentiment. You embroider your fantasies; they titillate
you and lift you out of the ordinary. You're the cockeyed optimist of song, a dreamy, maybe impractical idealist, the willing
victim of infatuation.
Gosh, is that really me?
Have a great day!

Give Love a Chance Finds a Home!
I finally got the call...well, actually, the e-mail! The Wild Rose Press, a small, independent publisher, has the rights
to publish Give Love a Chance. It will be published as an e-book first, and then as a trade paperback.
I'm hoping the paperback will be available before the end of the year. I've decided to have a renaming the title contest.
I want a really good, catchy title!
Strike Three, You're Mine is almost at the halfway point. Dominic and Nikki are finally together in Logan Springs
and she's agreed to help him coach the pitchers on his high school team. I'm having a great time writing their story.
Well, off to work on the story. Have a great day!

I'm LIVE!
Hey, Ya'll,
I'm finally into the 21st Century! This is my first ever website/blog and I had a great time designing it. Over the next
few weeks, I'll probably add more pictures and spiff it up a bit.
So what am I up to? Trying to write, of course! My first manuscript, Give Love a Chance, is out to an e-pub
editor and I'm getting it ready to submit to an editor at Harlequin. I've hesitated all along to submit to category houses,
mostly because I didn't think it would fit. But I've been convinced that they're considering writers with distinct voices
(and you know I definitely have that!) and unusual story lines. I've posted an excerpt of the book below...tell me what you
think!
My second manuscript, Strike Three--You're Mine, is about a third of the way completed. I love my
characters, Nikki and Dominic, and some of the characters from Give Love a Chance find their way into this book,
too! There's a link below for the Prologue--don't you just love them already?
Well, I'm off to work on the manuscript. I'll stop by in a week or so and let you know how it's going!
