The Museum of a Contemporary Artist

Where else would you put a still life?

The organizational theme for this site, an art museum, was selected because a museum serves as a place to constantly revisit the glorious moments of the past. Within the safety of a museum's walls, you may sit and rest as you contemplate the effect that one choice had over another. You may study the chaos left behind, hoping to find familiar images that comfort or perhaps to discern a plan that makes sense. You may see examples of heartbreaking beauty in every direction (to be appreciated at a distance), although you may not take any of the pieces home.

A museum is a rigid vessel of flexible histories. Only after we examine a collection of visual clues culled from decades of expression are we able to identify patterns, trends, and motifs. Deconstructing an oeuvre piece by piece, we begin to understand the inspiration behind an artist, and what happened after the muse kissed him goodbye.
