AOMAA
fills the gaps when foreign aid is only working through organizations
in towns and cities. We assist those in rural areas who have fallen
through the cracks. A
handicapped family could not survive the winter after the war. Their
house was destroyed and they had no way to provide food and milk for
the baby and three year old daughter. AOMAA advocated for this family with
Handicapped International and Movimondo to rebuild the house quickly
before the winter. In collaboration with Dr. Abudullah Veliu, a veterinarian and Dr. Arber Veliu, a medical doctor, AOMAA found a fat milk cow for this young family, provided feed, and equipment. In addition, AOMAA sought to ensure livelihood over the long run by providing a sewing machine and fabric as the start of a microenterprise. The family also received winter coats, shoes, toys, food, and vitamins. This one example is a model for volunteers everywhere. Join AOMAA in finding those in need in rural areas. Send or call AOMAA to request aid. We will respond.
