Tract: "Born Again", "Saved", Page 2
The term
"Born Again" also comes from the Gospel of John. Jesus says in verse
3 of chapter 3: "Except a man be BORN AGAIN, he cannot see the kingdom
of God". This means that, as we must be BORN PHYSICALLY to have NATURAL
LIFE, we must be BORN SPIRITUALLY to have spiritual LIFE which is
ETERNAL. This is not talking about the life of any spirit, but the
Life of THE SPIRIT which is in Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God.
To be saved is to rescued from a situation that threatens us with destruction.
When a person becomes "Born Again" and receives Eternal Life, they become
"Saved" from ETERNAL DEATH. Death is to reject Jesus, to be separated
from God. To, ultimately, received the judgement of hell's torment.
Life is to have peace, joy and love through Jesus and God the Father.
To, ultimately, experience Heaven. (1 John 5:12, 20) WE ARE GOING
TO EXIST FOREVER. God gives us the right to chose death or life.
