How to Commission a Portrait:
Clear reference photographs are essential in creating your portrait.
- Email digital photographs, or
- Mail non-digital photos, or
- Contact me to photograph your pet.
Once I receive the reference photographs I will compose a sketch for your approval before I begin
the painting. See photo tips below.
Photo Tips

Try to get eye level with your pet when photographing.

Take photographs outdoors (not in full sun) when possible.

Don't worry about what is in the background of your photographs.

It's okay if someone needs to hold the pet, just try not to obscure the pet too much.

When commissioning multiple animals in one portrait, don't worry about getting all the animals
to pose together. I can work from individual pictures of each.
