Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

It’s hard for us to believe that our move back to California happens in less than a month! Our house here is starting to look empty as we pack up bins and luggage to take with us as to California on May 27th. There’s a saying in Hungarian that “one eye is crying and the other eye is laughing,” and that sums up exactly how we feel. Our hearts are breaking over leaving dear friends and a treasured ministry, and yet we are also thrilled to take this step of faith and to see how God’s going to use our family in Orange County (or anywhere else He leads us!). We want to thank all of you for your continued support and prayers during this transition time, and we’ll be sure to send out at least one more newsletter from California to let you know how the move and resettling went. There is so much to say about our three years in Hungary, but I think we’ll have to do that in person once we get to California!

We love you and treasure your prayers!! We sure do need them!!!
Love,
Jason and Angie

Final Wrap Up…
Did outreach week already happened? Can it be that the college’s graduation is on Tuesday, May 13th? The women’s Monday night Bible study that Angie attends and helps with had its final study this past Monday.  Soon, Jason will be giving the final exams for his classes, and Angie will be starting the library’s inventory of materials before she closes it down for the summer.  This semester has flown by more quickly than any other semester here. We have stayed BUSY, and yet every single moment is filled with God’s grace and peace. How many people get to say that they’re having a blast while being missionaries? After school ends, we’ll still have much to do before we leave—training new leaders in the areas we oversee (outreaches, AVFL, coffee shop, and library), packing up our little home, and saying goodbye to friends. Please pray for good health, lots of energy, and a special pouring out of God’s Spirit and mercy on us during this entire transition back to California. Thanks!

Prayer & Praise

·         Praise God for Jason’s safe travels these past few months to England and Israel.

·         Please pray for good health for our family and all those that live here on campus. We’ve had the usual colds and flu, but Angie seems to keep getting every version of the flu that comes through campus, especially when we need to travel!! Please pray that ALL of us will be well during our move!!! Also, a student has chicken pox on campus and many others have been exposed to the virus. Pray for protection from the virus for our children and for the college students that haven’t had the chicken pox yet.

·         Pray for the time before our move home on May 27th.  Please pray for us to have wisdom and patience as we take huge steps of faith and move our family back to Fountain Valley, California on May 27th.  Pray that we continue to stay fully focused on our ministry here in Hungary during that time…that our children, Elea (4 yrs) and Ty (1 yr) would not be confused or upset as we pack things up this month…that all the hard goodbyes would also be filled with the sweetness of God’s love, knowing that we’ll see each other again in heaven, if not before.

·         Pray for our travels on May 27th as we fly from Budapest to Los Angeles that our flight would go well and that we’d all be healthy.

·         Pray that God would keep us close to Him and in His Word daily. That He would continually bind our family together in love. Pray that God would give us wisdom in raising our children, Elea and Tyson.

Pictures

  • Angie and other pastors’ wives’ listen to a teaching by Joy Metzger during the Hungarian Pastors’ Wives’ conference this past weekend, located in the Historical Library on our campus.  The pastors’ wives and staff here at CCBCE helped plan it to bless the women in Hungary, Crotia and Serbia that attended.
  • Women’s Bible Study on Monday night comes to an end until the fall.  The study is led by Gwyn Walsh, and Angie likes to be her sidekick at it.
  • Jason headed to Israel with a group of students from our college to meet up with the tour from Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa.
  • So many of the mustard fields are bright yellow right now and so beautiful! This picture was taken during our drive up to Budapest this past week. We’ll miss such beautiful landscapes while we drive.
