Friday Night A.L.I.V.E

God clearly put this vision on our hearts and, before we knew it, we had started a Friday night youth group for the missionary kids here. Every Friday night, seven junior high and high school students meet at our house for “Friday Night A.L.I.V.E.,” where the missionary kids are “abundantly living in view of eternity” (or A.L.I.V.E.). Jason leads them in worship and a Bible Study (right now he’s going through I John), and then we end the night with a fun activity like games. We’re having a blast and truly know that this is something only God could start.

Upcoming Outreach Week (October 19-28th)
Tomorrow the students and staff head out on outreaches throughout the world to preach the gospel.  Jason and I will be ‘holding down the fort’ in Vajta. The cities we will be ministering in are:

Bradford, England ~ Abuja, Nigeria ~ Sárbogárd, Hungary~

Vladimir, Russia ~ Split, Croatia ~ Baja, Hungary ~ Valencia, Spain~

Prague, Czech Republic ~ Sopron, Hungary ~ Tatabánya, Hungary ~

Izmir, Turkey~ Vajta, Hungary ~ Stockholm, Sweden ~

Rotorua and Hamilton, New Zealand

Prayer & Praise

·         Please pray that during our outreaches this month that we would shine the love of Jesus and that many would come to know Him.  Please also pray for traveling mercies for everyone, and that the students would grow closer to Jesus through these outreaches.

·         Pray for our friends, Doug and Rose Martin, who were missionaries here for over four years and just moved back to the States to be involved in ministry in the D.C. area. As I mentioned last month, Doug recently had hip surgery.  Recently, Doug suffered a massive heart attack and had emergency open heart surgery.  He is recovering well, but pray that the fluid gets out of his lungs, for weight gain, and for strength. Their daughter, Janette’s water just broke at 33 weeks pregnant, so now she’s in the high risk maternity ward. For Rose, pray for extra strength. For all of the Martins please pray for more and more grace!

·         Pray that God would keep us close to Him and in His Word daily. That He would continually bind our family together in love. Pray that God would give us wisdom in raising our children, Elea and Ty.

·         Praise God for the Friday night youth group at our house. We are having a lot of fun with the students. Pray that God would help them to grow in their faith.  Their ages range from 10-16 years old. The students names are: Karina, Niki, Sierra, Aaron, Becky, Jordan, & Kyla.
