Time at Home
We were thoroughly
blessed by our time in the States in December and early January. We spent time with family and friends,
connected with our home church, and attended the Missions Conference in
Murrieta. Best of all were the
hugs and encouragement that came from people like you! Our time in California was truly a
time of refreshment.
A New Semester
With a new semester comes
a new team of interns. This semester we have 14 interns serving on our campus
and overseeing various areas.
These interns have such a heart for discipleship and reaching out to
the CCBCE students, and are a vital part of our team here. Please pray for them and that God
would give them a vision for the work here and for what He has in store for
them after the internship program ends. Backrow from left to right in the
attached picture: David, Brennan, J.W., Kyle, Bryce, Sarah, Chris, Eric, Jon,
and Melanie (just graduated from program). Front row from left to right: Nikki,
Michelle, Nicole, Melissa, and Sam (not pictured). David & Brennan, and Jon &
Nicole are married. Sarah &
Eric are engaged and will marry in May.
This semester Jason
teaches the Gospel of Luke class and also the Evangelism/Discipleship class.
He also continues to oversee the coffee shop / cappucino bar areas, in
addition to overseeing student outreaches. We’re also getting prepared for
and excited about the upcoming 6 week, summer disciplship program, “A
Vision for Life” (AVFL). Angie continues to be involved with overseeing
the libraries, in addition to being involved in the women’s ministry
here.
An Upcoming Arrival
Of course, Angie’s
main focus this semester has been resting up and getting ready for baby #2
(in addition to being a mom of a toddler!). Our baby boy, Tyson Scott, is due
March 26th, though the doctor thinks that Angie will be
early. Angie’s parents, Pat
& Bill, will be flying in to Hungary to be here for the birth
of the baby (hopefully!), and to help with the new baby. We’re thrilled they’ll be
here shortly.
Prayer & Praise
·
Pray that Angie’s labor and delivery
would be easy and uncomplicated. Her due date is March 26th. Pray for our daughter, Elea, as she adjusts being a big sister. Also pray for the safe travels of
Angie’s parents as they fly out here for the birth of our baby.
·
Please
continue to remember in your prayers
the upcoming Speakers Week (March 19-23rd). Frank
& Geri Ippolito and other speakers will be coming to share with the
students during that week. Pray
that God would use them to speak to the hearts of our student body.
·
April 20-29th is Outreach Week for our
students. Outreaches are currently
being organized and teams formed. Please pray that God would direct all the
details of planning these outreaches, and that He would unite the individuals
on the teams to one another.
·
As
studies continue, outreach plans are made, and friendships are formed, pray that over it all, God’s will
reigns.
