Something for the children

With the addition of many more student families at our college, the number of kids here has raised significantly. As a mom of a preschooler (Eleas now 2 ˝ years old!), Ive been blessed in many ways by two students that have a heart for the many missionary children here. Tabby and Rachel are current students at our college, and they use some of their servanthood hours to teach a preschool two days a week (Tues. & Thurs., 10:45am-12:15pm). The time is spent in prayer, song, Bible stories, crafts, play, and much more. Last week, the kids went on a horse and cart ride (along with moms or dads) to a local farm to pet the animals and ride a horse. Eleas still talking about the horsie ride. Pray that God will use this time to set an everlasting love in their hearts for Him!

Taco Night and Other Intern Activities

Once again, Jason oversees the intern program this school year. This year we have 9 interns serving on our campusTibor (maintenance), Eric (coffee shop), Sam (devotions, landscaping), Chris (servanthood class and hours), Bryce (dishes/Chuck Smith track class), Sarah (library/dining room), Michelle (Cappucino Bar), Melanie (CCBCE office), and Melissa (housekeeping/laundry). They are all committed to serve here for one year, and each semester they will oversee a different area of the college. In addition to practical ministry experience, they also take a series of classes that prepares them at a greater depth for full time ministry. Every intern also leads an outreach each semester during outreach week, in addition to living in the dorm and helping out as dorm stewards.

Serving alongside these interns is such a blessing! Now and then we just cant resist having some good ol fun with them, too, and that comes out in events, like tonights Taco Night at our house. Nothing brings a group of people closer together than a night of Mexican food! Both guy and girl interns have planned fun filled nights for the students, including the lastest Girls Night Out (games, fun, movie, and food) for the female staff and students, and the guys planning an all-guy bonfire that same night. Theyve gone bowling, trips to local cities, and so much more! Jason and I stand amazed at this latest group of interns that are full of energy, excitement, and a willingness to serve God in any capacity. Theyve already grown so much and theres still a year to go! Pray for them, especially as they try to balance work, ministry, and discipleship. Its a challenging program for sure, but God is using them mightily.

Prayer & Praise

ˇ         Please continue to remember in your prayers the upcoming outreach week (Oct. 20-29th). This semester, students will head on mission trips to Kyrgystan, Ireland, Finland, Serbia, Macedonia, Uganda, Hungary, Ukraine, Moldova, Kosovo, and Croatia. Jason, Elea, and I will be going to Kaposvar, Hungary, for the week along with a team of students. Vacation Bible School and street evangelism will be some of our main activities, along with church ministry. May many come to know Jesus through the witness and examples of the students here!

ˇ         November 17-23rd, Angie and Rose Martin will travel to Radom, Poland to speak at an outreach to English teachers. Elea will be heading to Poland with Angie (minus Jason, who has to stay in Hungary to teach classes!)

ˇ         Praise God for all the students this semester! There is such a unity and excitement among them, that only God can be given the glory for this group. Please continue to pray that God would help them balance their studies with ministry, while also helping them to grow more and more in Him.

ˇ         We are thankful for Angies pregnancy and this new life Gods given us. Pray that God will watch over the development of this little one and that Angies pregnancy would be easy and uncomplicated. Her due date is March 26th.

ˇ         As studies continue, outreach plans are made, and friendships are formed, pray that over it all, Gods will reigns.
