Summer Greetings!
Summer around Vajta is anything but slow. We were
encouraged and blessed by the visit of Angies parents in May, and thankful
for the opportunity to spend time showing them around Hungary and other countries.
Weve also had a steady flow of conferences at our conference center here, in
addition to kicking off the start of the A Vision for Life (A.V.F.L.)
program. Were having a blast, but please
pray for continued stamina and good health. And please send us your prayer requests, too, so that we can continue
to lift you up in our prayers.
Blessings,
Jason and Angie Vander Burgh

This years Foundations Conference for Calvary Chapel
missionaries in Eastern Europe blessed and
encouraged all that attended. Over 300 missionaries representing countries
such as Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Poland and the Ukraine (among others) gathered
together to be refreshed and encouraged through Bible studies, prayer
meetings, and time at the pool. The
special highlight of the week was listening to Pastor Chuck Smith (via
live video feed) welcome all of us and teach the first Bible study on the
weeks theme of Keeping ourselves in the love of God (Jude).

A Vision for Life Ready to Go!
June 24-August 4th
A Vision for
Life started June 24th with twenty youth flying in from the U.S.A. and Finland for six weeks of
discipleship, missions training, Bible classes, and just plain ol fun.
Beginning with Bible classes and a welcome weekend in Budapest, students dove right into the
program. Jason directs the program and teaches their Life of Jesus
and Philippians classes, so we have the blessing of being closely involved
in their lives. Im leading the Friday
morning womens Bible study/prayer time.
Among the highlights of the
summer thus far are outreaches to gypsy villages in Serbia and helping with childcare
for the Calvary Chapels of Serbia family camp. July 15-21st,
A.V.F.L. will be in charge of a Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Baja, Hungary.
Wrapping up their time together will be a weekend in Vienna, Austria,
to visit CC Vienna, and to tour the city. Its incredible to see God changing lives already and the program is
only half way done. What a way to spend a summer!
Prayer & Praise
ˇ
Praise God for the work He is doing in the
lives of the AVFL students.
This AVFL team works well together and seeks to serve and love one another
whole heartedly. Pray for them as they
head to Baja, Hungary,
this week to teach children about His love through a safari-themed Vacation Bible School.
ˇ
We
are thankful for the constant service and kindness of the Summer of Service
(SOS) students. They come to serve in practical ministry doing dishes, gardening,
making beds, etc. Pray that God will
strengthen them and encourage them each day, and that they will find personal
time to spend with Jesus rather than focusing solely on the work theyre
doing.
ˇ
Please keep one of our missionary families
here in your prayersJeremy & Christi Foster. Christis mom, Tammy Ippolito (married to Pastor Frank Ippolito of CC
Vineland, NJ) recently died of heart failure at the age of 51. Pray that God will sustain Frank and family
as they adjust to life without Tammy.
ˇ
We
had a wonderful time with Angies parents in May. Thank you for your prayers!
Please pray for safe travels for Jasons
parents as they come to visit us for a few weeks, beginning August 4th. Elea
is very excited to spend time playing with her grandparents this summer.
