I am training to participate in a full marathon as a member of The Leukemia
& Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. I'm not sure if it will be the the San Francisco Nike Women's Marathon on October
21, or the Dublin Adidas Marathon in Ireland on October 29, though. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds
to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this marathon in honor
of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support
to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Sorry for the lag in training updates. I've been very busy with fundraising
events and am up to 13.1 miles in training...Yep, that's a half marathon. The next couple of months are going to be the hardest.
I haven't done more than that distance before, but I have some great coaches and teammates that help make it "easy".

I know...once again, I have not kept up with my page. I apologize.
Things have been pretty hectic with my fundraising responsibilities and training, AND my regular life. :) My training
has been going pretty well. I have not been able to train with my team so much the last couple of weeks, but I have
been getting it in on my home treadmill. We're about halfway through the season, but because of my half marathon event
in San Diego, in June, I am a little ahead of the game, this go-round.
I will try and be better about my updates. In past seasons, it was much easier. I guess
that's a sign that I better slow down a bit...nah! Gotta "run"...Thanks for checking in.

Oh my!!! 5 weeks left to go! Sorry for the gap in updates. Life has been
keeping me busy and I've been focusing on getting ready for Dublin that I haven't had too much time to write. Training is
going well. I've also been getting in some cross training, which has helped me lose a few pounds AND is causing less impact
on my leg injuries. TNT is awesome!! Not only are you doing something for a good cause, but you're getting healthier as the
time goes by! WOOHOO!!
So, I will try and be better with my updates so you can see how I'm doing.
Just know this...I'm hanging in there and before you know it, I will be back from Dublin with one more endurance event under
my belt and you will have helped me raise a grand total (all three of my events together) of over $15K for the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society.

Unfortunately, I did not make it to Dublin. I had a knee injury that needed to be taken care of
surgically and was not able to make the event. However, I am doing well, off the crutches, halfway through my physical
therapy and rehabilitation and am mentoring the Hike For Discovery team next season. So look out for my next update
in February, when the season starts and we're working our way to the Grand Canyon. Thank you for all of your support!
With your help, I have raised over $14K towards a cure for blood cancers!
