One of the most important items needed for a successful painting featuring your horse or those of other four-legged pets is a set of good photographs.  The photos must not be copyrighted or permission to use them must be obtained.  Pictures are used to capture conformation, character, anatomy, muscle tone, color, size, personality, spirit, and "glow" of the subject.  Photos taken in the sunlight are the best for providing detail and coloration.

You may supply the photos, have them taken, or request that I take them.  I will require consideration for time and travel expenses.

In addition I will need you to give me an idea of what you are looking for and what your expectations are with size, setting and medium.  Good communication will expedite success with creating your piece of art.

Pricing depends on medium, size, and content of artwork.

One third of price is payable up front.  One third is payable upon your approval of the artwork. The final third is payable upon completion of artwork.  Consideration for photography and travel expenses is payable within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.

I retain all copyrights to the images I create, but will work with you if you wish to use the image for commercial purpose.

Commissioned work is limited, so please plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
