Complete the take home test

Come up with your own idea and get approval from Mr. Montgomery

Create a 5 minute presentation to the class in which you take on the role of someone from Chinese history.

Research a major problem that China is facing such as pollution, Falun Gong, or another. Describe it and then propose a solution.

Create an illustrated Who’s who book of Chinese history including at least 20 people with 2-3 explaining their importance.

Create a “what if” scenario of at least one page in which you follow through what would have happened if a major event in Chinese history was changed

Watch a movie based on Chinese history like:  Hero, The Last Emperor, House of Flying Daggers, or another with approval. Write an explanation about what you learned about China from the movie

Create 5 advertisements for inventions in Chinese history.  Make sure that you show why they are important and why someone should want to buy them.

Examine the role of the Mongols, Japanese, and English had on the development of China.  Describe their overall impact in about 1 page.

Research Chinese art forms and create something in three different Chinese styles.  Explain how the art you created is influenced by Chinese art.

Develop a chart comparing an contrasting the philosophies of Buddhism, Daoism, Confucianism, and Legalism
