The holidays and work has really impacted my posting, plus I got sick on 1/6 weekend really put
a damper on my WoW gaming.
Landru (Troll Priest) has reached level 32 after another month of gaming on Archimode server.
The XP curve is much higher now in order to level than when he was below level 20. I have completed most of the quests
in the Barrens, Ashenvale and half way through the quests in Thousand Needles. The questing in Ashenvale and Thousand
Needles have been made more difficult since these are contested zones (both Alliance and Horde) and I have to watch out for
the Alliance players who loved nothing better than jumping a squishy one. In most case, I usually end up grouping
with someone for mutual support and to allow us to handle the mob better.
I have added a few more names to my friend list, mainly folks that I have group with successfully.
One of them is Amister, a Tauren Druid whom I met in the Barren and coop several times. He is an East Coaster but usually on around the same
time as myself during week nights and the weekends.
Here's one aspect that I excel at, working with other players in a PUG. As I said earlier,
you have to know your role within a PUG, particularly your character's strength and weakness. If you play each
character class the same way, you are going to screw up big time.
Landru's gear have improved a bit since I hit level 32. I usually will try for quest related
gears since those are fairly good rewards in some cases, like the Warsong Sash which is very good boost for my priest. Most of my gears have Intellect, Spirit, Stamina and Healing
bonus in that order since I am using a Holy build for the priest. I kept my one good World Drop, the Twisted Chanter's Staff from the dwarves in lower Barren, instead of selling it in the Auction House. This is similar to Crescent Staff, a quest reward from The Wailing Cavern. Susan sent me some cloth gears while she was grinding Steve's characterDer,
but those are now below my level and I sent them to my bank character BankofOrg who is a Troll Mage. In general,
I usually monitor the auction house looking for cheap greens. I have plenty of money from mostly selling all the ores
and stones(around 50+ gp) but I'm going to save up for the mount when Landru hits level 40, plus I need money every two level
for the new skills.
I decide to find a route into Tauren Mill in Hillsbrad. I was jumped almost immediately
when I went into Hillsbrad by an Alliance player who was at least 10 level higher than me, I woke up in the cementary of Tauren
Mills and decided to rez there. I went around gathering all the quests and also speak with the flight master to allow
me to get back later. I flew back to Silverspine Forest to finished off all the low level quests and this put me at
Honored with the Undead which meant the only Horde faction left to get Honor is the Blood Elf faction.
The Burning Crusade has finally been released and Amazon was able to deliver right on release
date. I loaded up and let Aaron played around with the new characters (Draeni and Blood Elf) since he had been clammering
about this expansion since November. He seemed quite excited with the new quests but I have to kick him off since it's
a school night. I waited until everyone is asleep and fired it up. I login to Suramar with Tempus (Human Warrior
Level 60) and found Ironforge to be eerily empty, I guess all the Level 60 characters are down in the Dark Portal. I
proceeded to send Tempus down to the Blasted Land and through the Dark Portal. I picked up the delivery quest and went
on my merry way to Honor Hold. My first impression surveying the landscape when I was flying there was WOW!!
Then I get down to business of riding around and exploring the countryside while picking up all the quests. Stay tune
while I explore the new Outland territory.
