I am quite involved in my heritage. I am part Scottish through my maternal grandfather. I also have other ancestry -- Dutch, Spanish, French, Apache, German and Cornish -- but I am mostly drawn to my Scottish roots.

I belong to the United Scottish Society, an organization which puts on the Costa Mesa Scottish Festival, one of the largest in the US. I am a member of the Board of Directors and also am in charge of the trophies for the festival, which is held over Memorial Weekend in May.

I also belong to The Clan MacFarlane Society, Inc. and have travelled to our ancestral lands in Scotland with my grandparents.
