The major source for the following information is a document provided to Eva Farrington Cary in July of 1938 by Colonel Robert Arthur titled Farrington Genealogy.
Ezekiel2 B. Farrington ( Thomas1 Sewall Farrington) A farmer, b. Dec 5, 1810 at Windsor, Me. d. Oct 9, 1885 at China, Kennebec Cty., Me., and b'd at Weeks Mills Cemetery, Weeks Mills, Me. He m'd Jan 1, 1834 at Troy, Waldo Cty., Me., Mary Hallett Hamlin, dau of Timothy and Martha (Priest) Hamlin, b. Oct 9, 1813 at China, Me., d. Mar 1, 1904 at China, Me. Also see the newspaper article published in the Kennebec Journal about how a mother, Mary Hamlin, lost five of her sons in the Civil War.

Ezekiel2 B. Farrington first appears in the records as a witness to a deed excuted by his father on Oct 22, 1825, transferring a parcel of land in Vassalboro, Me., to Leonard2 Farrington. In 1834 and 1837, he received from his father interests in lands in China, Me., which he sold in 1837. Shortly thereafter, he removed with his father and his brother Serenus2 to Troy, Me. By 1850 he had removed to Windsor, Kennebec Cty., Me. where his parents also moved to live with him until their deaths. In the fall of 1850, his farm and life stock were valued at $1400, his holdings, consisting of 40 acres of improved land, 35 acres of unimproved land, 1 horse, 3 milch cows, 2 working oxen, 2 other cattle, 15 sheep, 1 swine, 5 bu. of wheat, 40 bu. of Indian corn, 150 bu. of oats, 45 lbs of wool, 10 bu. of peas and beans, 50 bu. of Irish potatoes, 5 bu. of barley, 300 lbs. of butter, 200 lbs of cheese, 20 tons of hay and some farming implements and homemade manufactures.
Mary Hallett Hamlin (Hamblin) decended in the seventh generation from James Hamblen (Hamlin), who removed from London, Eng., to Barnstable, Mass in 1639. Ezekiel2 B. Farrington and his wife were b'd in the Weeks Mills Cemetery. Their five oldest sons were all volunteers in the Civil War and were all killed or died of wounds.
